@AgriFocused Not sure about where you are, but there's outright purchase options from total tools and some other places. Much better for an infrequent user like me, don't know how it would stack up for substantial use, or what range of gasses are/aren't available.
This is the stuff that really pisses people off - and it's so much worse than most people know.
While politicians refuse to index income tax brackets against inflation, they get automatic pay rises.
As your real wages go backwards, government revenue goes up through bracket creep.
Your living standards decline while those of bureaucrats and politicians thrive.
When called out, they hide behind ‘independent’ tribunals of highly paid bureaucrats the politicians appoint.
And of course those tribunals are incentivised to approve higher pay rises for bureaucrats and the politicians who give them their job.
Worst of all, politicians barely pay for anything as they deduct obscene expenses while their savings grow and investments compound.
This is the unaccountable and self-serving nature of a political class who treat their service as a lucrative career.
Long gone are the days they earned the humble and respectable title of public servant.
Suddenly 'everyone' is talking about this... this isn't journalism this is advocacy and the ABC are joining in.
Newsflash, any journalist or politician who calls the rebate for off-road diesel use a 'tax break' or a 'subsidy' needs to be mocked mercilessly.
What this lie is based on is the idea that government is entitled to everything and if it leaves something in your pocket then you should be grateful.
The fact is that we own everything and the government has to justify every cent it steals from us. The fuel excise, and its heavy trucking counterpart the Heavy Vehicle Road User Charge, applies to...
... roads. The justification for the tax is the damage to the roads.
Ok, that's not a terrible idea, but that means that people who use diesel, NOT on the roads... shouldn't pay the tax.
And that's how it is. That's how it SHOULD be. Giving back the taxes that shouldn't have been taken in the first place isn't controversial, and it's certainly not a 'subsidy'.
Albanese admits it, like I said yesterday - the $20M is a bribe.
Taxes used to pay off the media. Just like COVID.
They will use our money to silence dissent. It's not just going to the mainstream networks - social media companies get a lick as well.
It's criminal.
@Oscarthefarmer Was any of the above information mentioned in the video from old mate? I didn't pick up on it. Seemed that he asserted that skilled migration is needed, but said nothing along the lines of what's in those screenshots. I would have thought that might actually change some minds.
Only 12% of Australia’s migrant intake is skilled - a massive 88% unskilled
Albanese has imported 1.273 million people so far
On these figures only 153,000 were skilled and 1,120,000 were unskilled

@Oscarthefarmer Absolutely agree that everyone ought to consider evidence rather than taking what the 'leaders' on their say at face value. Unfortunately what I took from the video is that he's not well addressing the grievances of those he seems to be targeting.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese just stood at the National Press Club and told Australians that the reason they’re “misinformed” is because they stopped watching Channel 7 and started following independent creators instead.
@WheatWatcher Inflames demand rather than curbing it. If/when physical shortages occur, those willing to pay more, are more likely to be using it productivity rather than consumptively.
@andrewdunx If oil can't come to us from the gulf or Russia, will need to come from US, Venezuela, North Sea, and other sources. Reduced global supply equals higher global prices. $10/L?
