This evening marks the conclusion of my term as Mayor of the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield. Serving as Mayor over the past 12 months has been an incredible honour and a truly rewarding experience. Thank you
Civic dignitaries, residents, Royal British Legion & uniformed groups gathered at @HolyTrin for the lighting of a beacon to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day & a service to remember those who served in World War Two.
It was a wonderful shared moment of celebration.
Thank you to the Sutton Coldfield Lord Mayor and Cllr Hatton who visited our school today to speak to our KS2 pupils in assembly. Both Mr Perks and Mr Hatton are former pupils of New Oscott!
What a treat this afternoon, joining Sutton Coldfield Mayor John Perks to speak with students at our old school, New Oscott Primary! Both us of us attended new Oscott, albeit at different times, but it was a fantastic opportunity to meet students and see the school one last time before the building is demolished to make way for the new school!
Today I went to see my primary school (New Oscott) before it gets demolished for the new school. 50 years since I started there. My old class bought back so many memories.
Last week the Mayor attended the @HighSheriffWM24 End of Year Thank you Service at Holy Trinity Parish Church.
The evening recognised 35 recipient's of the High Sherriff Awards.
