Catholic | English | "It was never my custom to flee; I would rather die, if I must, for my own land, ..." – St. Edmund the Martyr (King of East Anglia)
What on earth is going on here?
Parliament voted to abolish blasphemy laws back in 2008 — 18 years ago.
The Government’s decision to introduce a non-statutory official definition of Islamophobia — repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility” — has effectively revived blasphemy laws for Islam alone.
In a free society, no religion should be afforded greater protection than another. We are losing our fundamental right to legitimately criticise and debate a single religion in this country.
It is not a criminal offence in this country to criticise or mock the Prophet Muhammad.
The Free Speech Union wants to help. If you know anything about this case, please contact us at [email protected].
No Timothy, we’re not idiots.
We know you didn’t say or do anything that you can actually be sanctioned for.
But we know exactly what message you were sending.
So spare us the disingenuous apologia.
Excited to announce that my first ever book will be releasing later this year!
The Venerable Bede is such an interesting figure, but I have always lamented how few of his works were well known or accessible.
Hopefully this new facing-page anthology will counter that!
“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”
George Orwell.
Wasn’t that the point of the English Reformation? We need to value our history, heritage, culture, traditions and our traditional faith.
@dlongenecker1 So what's your opinion on this? Surely there should be immediate condemnation from the Vatican, and from others, like yourself -- but, for some reason, I haven't seen any yet! https://t.co/ExmoWuSTsG
As the Econe consecrations take place & inevitably draw excommunication, a dreadful, heretical Mass takes place in Westminster, attended by two bishops, a canon and a cardinal. What will happen to them? Don’t miss this https://t.co/bqiKoTgTkz
@FaithandFooty_ I don't think they hate the Church - only the direction they see it heading. It's not unlike those of us who see our country changing before our eyes; we obviously don't hate the country, but we naturally fear for its future. I prayed for them this morning at Mass.

The Nordic Catholic bishops have issued a pastoral letter reaffirming the Church's prohibition on Catholics joining Freemasonry. The bishops also state that Catholics who are members of the Masonic organization should not receive the Eucharist or any other sacraments.

@declanganley I admit to not being fully informed on the SSPX, but, given we seem to welcome women who call themselves Archbishops, I do wonder if any letter of excommunication will be accompanied by a letter of congratulations - without Mc Church references!

Thanks be to God! Our beautiful son, Arthur Geoffrey Bernard, was born this morning a healthy 7lb 10oz 🥰 He is utterly perfect & doing very well, we are extremely blessed!
