London black cab drivers say traffic restrictions, LTNs, 20mph speed limits and ULEZ policies are damaging the taxi trade across the capital.
Longer journey times, rising vehicle costs and reduced access to central London are making it harder for drivers to earn a living.
LTNs: Yet more evidence that LTNs make journeys longer, increase congestion on other roads and reduce productivity through wasted time. It was the same when @LBofHounslow closed Turnham Green Terrace and Fishers Lane in #Chiswick. Why are councils still making the same mistakes?
@blackcab@londoncabbie200@_londoncabbie_ To all London Black Cab drivers. If your name is Tony and you picked my partner up Friday night outside the Royal College of Surgeons and took him Free back to our hotel after a medical incident with his stoma. We love and thank you 💯♥️
@DavidSu99220975 Thanks, I restarted the terminal and powered off via the touch screen. Seems that if you just switch off with the power button the passenger terminal stays on.
A huge problem in London. I stopped using @uber (in the UK) years ago!
When I tackle one of my TOP policies on my manifesto for London which is TRANSPORT. I will look into banning uber from London and look into uniting Londons heritage transportation (black cabs, double decker buses, trains and our famous underground and structure some form of collaboration between the organisations for ease of passage, affordability and to bring back/unite a good old piece of British/English heritage and culture! It will all be part of ‘Englands Crown Jewel transport experience’ (working title 😉).
I will open London back up to its people and visitors alike so it’s affordable, accessible and encapsulates English/British pride and culture for all to enjoy! #oneofmany 🫡🇬🇧🏴
@huajiang@LDNcabbieTXE@Uber_Support@Uber If only there was a taxi rank at City Airport, but no, the "entrepreneur" thought she'd get a cheap ride using "tech" otherwise known as a bloke with a sat nav and went via the m25 . If a taxi used that route he could be reported to tfl, but uber can charge whatever they want.
@Uber_Support My trip from London City Airport to Wimbledon cost £260! The app quoted £107. Driver took a 2hr detour via M25 instead of direct route through London. Totally unreasonable. please investigate and refund the overcharge. @Uber
Much to my regret, and for the first and only time in my life, I used the @Uber app. The driver of this vehicle was reckless, dangerous, and should not be on the road. Please, if my experience is anything to go by, never use @Uber.
