@jiya_3063 assuming with any of these you use good passwords and 2FA… ICloud. With apple, 3 people on the planet have seperate pieces of the cryptographic key needed to decrypt an iCloud account. Those three people are geographically separated by continents.

If you use Firefox or chrome i weep for your ram… hardware isn’t on par, try again… touch screens are for tablets and phones, linux/Mac multitasks great, windows 👎, more attack surface on windows/linux, Linux desktop has gotten better, still last place

@_LeadPoisoning_ @Anaya_sharma876 Windows does the post reboot loading components BS all the time, or you have to install additional features just to get more functionality out of it, and if your lucky it won’t brick the OS and boot loop while you panic because you didn’t make a restore point first.

@_LeadPoisoning_ @Anaya_sharma876 Haven’t seen that literally at all since I have used Macs, it downloads an update, restarts, loads the updates, back to login screen. Longest update I ever saw was 30min over a shitty cell connection

@CG46584313 @Anaya_sharma876 Waaay to light weight for me. Im on a m4 max MBP WITH 32GB of ram, actively working 4 seperate projects, on top of browsers etc… and Claude and I have caused it to lock up on RAM limitations multiple times, had to kill some processes to finish

@ressi_it @Anaya_sharma876 Windows terminal makes me physically ill. It’s buggy. Locks up multiple times a day for me, powershell is another beast unto itself… windows 11 has fucking ads baked in as a feature now. Why would anyone willingly subject themselves to that.

Commercially available MacOS vs commercially available windows. No hackintosh or virtualization. Linux as a desktop for average people is a non starter. I would take Linux desktop over a windows machine any day of the week… but for ease of use and ecosystem for Unix power Macs can’t be beat.
