@karagoucher Speaking from a lot of experience with raising boys, I think that workout is ridiculous. My son is a division one track athlete who runs a four minute mile. At nine years old, he was one of the slowest kids on every athletic team he was on. It should be about fun. Relax!

A terrific 3,000-meter steeplechase at these Big Ten championships by Nick Regas, who just missed scoring points for the Buckeyes by finishing in 10th place while smashing his personal best in the event by 16 seconds with a time of 8:59.74.

A bunch of Buckeyes competed in the 5,000 meters and Nick Regas (#6) broke away in the last 400 to win in 14:36.43, shattering his personal best by 17 seconds. Zubin Jha was second, also in a personal best time of 14:42.35 with Peter Hayden third (14:45.78).

A No. 1 effort personally for junior Nick Regas this afternoon in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Fighting Illini Big Ten Relays: a personal best 9:17.11 time in the race and a third-place finish. Congratulations, Nick.
