@donwinslow Milk from a carton, rather than powdered milk. We drove straight through from TX to CA, no hotels, to see my mom’s family. Dad would catnap on the side of the road when he got too sleepy. Bread and gravy if you were still hungry after dinner. Honestly never went without, blessed.
