'Conspiracy of silence': Parliament set to debate Israeli influence on British politics:
Andrew Feinstein, author and co-founder of Shadow World Investigations, told Middle East Eye that Israeli influence on British politics posed a “massive challenge to British democracy” adding that “unless we are prepared to have a transparent, open and frank conversation not only about the Israel lobby, but about the influence of all money in politics, we will continue to have nothing better than the best democracy money can buy.” https://t.co/W9Qze8xXfH
Tony Blair thinks the answer to this country’s problems is AI, welfare cuts and endless spending on war.
Who benefits? Arms companies and tech billionaires.
Once again, Blair is wrong. The answer is a redistribution of wealth and power and the relentless search for peace.
Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
Clement Attlee said: “Charity is a cold grey loveless thing. If a rich man wants to help the poor, he should pay his taxes gladly, not dole out money at a whim.”

My friend, Eleanor, is taking her music out to Somerset this summer. If anyone is near Somerset, be sure not to miss her. The music will be great. Guaranteed.
