Never before have politicians that thrive on the myth of the problem of inequality had so much access to political fodder to satisfy their greed for power. Again, I would much rather have a tiny fraction of the immense wealth that some have been able to create, than to share equally in the poverty of your marxist-communist-socialism. Your useful idiots may call me a bootlicker, but I would rather be called names, than be known as your useful idiot.
@JezziiB Your enemy is neither. Your enemy is the politician or it’s lackey that is trying to convince you that you are worse off because someone else is better off. These scoundrels do it for one reason, because of their greed for political power.
Social security, a program you would likely fight for to the end because it gives the government tax revenue and control of a portion of our retirement income, is the greatest cause of generational inequality today. Social security is a 19th century solution for a problem that no longer exists. Today we have easy access capital markets for everyone. Even my 8th grade students were easily able to set up and contribute to investment accounts. Of course that violates your marxist-communist-socialist ideology, so you would prefer to keep the generational inequality and poverty that social security creates. You cannot have anyone better off. Your ideology must keep people poor so you and your politician buddies can keep them under your finger, and keep them voting for your failed economics. Political greed for power is the ugliest kind of greed. It serves no one but the person seeking it.
We desperately need class consciousness in the U.S.
Class consciousness is not telling people to vote for the blue or red ruling class parties.
It is educating people that both parties serve the billionaire class, which is why workers need to build our own power to fight back.
You must be correct. Santa Claus brings all the books, and the Easter Bunny brings all the workers. The Tooth Fairy provides the buildings, the power and the computers. No Alex, libraries are not free. Someone has to pay for them, and we generally do from our property taxes. So once again the taxpayers foot the bill, but the little child here without any grasp of economic literacy believes they are “free.”
The marxist-communist-socialists (@BernieSanders) biggest problem with capitalism is that individuals can do things, and create value, without their permission. He believes it is his government that must have total control and say in all things. If he gets his way we will be living in poverty like most of the Soviets. We will pretend to work, and he will pretend to pay us.
@BernieSanders If you get your greedy little paws on this there won’t be trillions of wealth created. We will be living like the Soviets, mostly impoverished. We will pretend to work while you pretend to pay us.
@SenSanders How did these outbreaks (and many others before) happen before USAID was dismantled? You are nothing but a greedy political animal using other people’s plight to heap power unto yourself. Your words are empty and meaningless.
The assessed value may be based on a market value but it is only a fraction of it. That’s what makes you a liar! You are not taxed on the entire $50,000 in unrealized gain. Again, I don’t think I ever taught an 8th grader that was an economically illiterate as you. @Columbia should be embarrassed that they ever granted you a PhD. I do not think they like intellectual dishonesty connected to their good name.
@tonyannett You are taxed on the assessed value. Stop making things up, you are supposedly a PhD economist with experience. However, it is obvious you are just a liar that cannot be trusted.
@philosophymeme0 One statement from one topic that is not even close to being accurate but someone thinks this is a clever meme. Once again showing the absolute economic ignorance of the marxist-communist-socialists.
The four factors of production designed, created and manufactured the iPhone. Since you are a communist-socialist you are probably ignorant of the factors of production, so here they are; land, labor, capital and entrepreneurship. It is just when these things are privately owned we end up with goods like the iPhone. When they are collectively owed we end up with goods like the Lada.
Government does not create prosperity. It envies it, confiscates it, and squanders it on many pet political projects without creating any real value for society. The people, working to make their individual lives a little bit better actually create prosperity. Most of us just get by, many of us have pretty good lives, and some live in luxury, but we don’t measure our success against that of others. We just do our part, and don’t suffer from envy thinking someone is responsible for us or the reason we don’t have luxury. Thankful we don’t live in the poverty that socialism creates.
@MikeNellis I believe it is my responsibility, you believe that it is some one else’s. I look inward and ask, what can I do? You look outward and demand, what must they do?
@MikeNellis Democrats will look you in the eye and say a person has a right to kill their child if they do not desire one, or if it is inconvenient, or if it may have a disability that will make their life more dificult because they will have the burden of caring for it.
@MikeNellis But a Republican will say it is not the government’s duty to feed kids, but you omit that part. I have taken a position that it is my duty to feed, protect and nurture my children. If I have to rely on someone else to do that, I am the failure, not the government.
