On February 27-28th, 2023 the Alabama Science Teachers Association will be hosting a "Lessons from Nature" conference in Birmingham, AL. This is a great opportunity to learn new content and instructional strategies.
I have found that formatively assessing my students using DeltaMath is very beneficial. Another tool I use in my classroom is IXL. I like to use the diagnostic feature at the beginning of the year to see the current grade level of my students. This helps with future instruction.

I highly recommend attending the professional development opportunities in Alabama provided by AMSTI (Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative). If you can't make it to training in person, they offer them online. I use a lot of their tools/curriculum in my classroom!
@teachergoals Love this! All students can learn! SPED teachers do not receive enough credit. They are an essential part of helping these students get past barriers.
@cjb3024 Yes! These resources are very helpful in the fact that they provide the standards unpacked. I use this a lot to guide the learning targets in my class. The language is more student-friendly!
