Budget 2026: Progress, but key concerns remain.

Encouraging to see RM46.5B for healthcare 👏
Positive moves on permanent posts, on-call allowance & GP fee revision after 17 years & infra.

But the RM10 GP floor, halving of Skim Perubatan Madani (RM100M → RM50M), EPF use for health & DRG plans need careful review for sustainability.

Hari ini GPs diketepikan lagi, hanya diminta “promote & refer.” Sedih bila @KKMPutrajaya muda lupa.

Adakah “public-private partnership” sekadar slogan bila terdesak? Coverage sebenar hanya tercapai bila GPs dimobilisasi sepenuhnya. @n_izzah

Saya sokong & akan terus promote kempen MR SIA ini 🙌. Vaksinasi kanak-kanak 🇲🇾 & migran adalah kritikal. Tapi izinkan saya luahkan sedikit kekecewaan 😢…

Masa COVID-19, GPs diragui ; cold chain, AEFIs, logistics. Tapi bila @malaysianmedic1 push keras & GPs onboard, 🇲🇾 capai >400k doses sehari, antara terpantas di dunia 🌍 & siap awal berbulan. Itu bukti reach & trust GPs dengan rakyat.

RESET memuji GP sebagai ‘gatekeepers’ 🩺, tetapi 5 tonggaknya langsung tidak menyentuh penjagaan primer 🤔.

Isu berlarutan ; fi GP yang beku 💸 & TPA yang tidak dikawal selia 🏢 ; akan menjejaskan sebarang inisiatif baharu, sekali gus terus menekan GP yang berada di tahap paling bawah dalam rantaian bekalan dan menjadikannya tidak mampan dari segi kewangan.

🩺 GP = barisan hadapan, public good utk semua lapisan rakyat.

💔 Tapi yuran beku 33 tahun + kos meningkat = ramai klinik terpaksa tutup.

🏥 Bila klinik hilang → rakyat susah dapat rawatan cepat, hospital & KK @KKMPutrajaya penuh sesak.

❗ Walau bukan dibiayai kerajaan, GP perlukan dasar jelas utk terus hidup & jaga rakyat.

❗ Only after a one-payer system & all building blocks in place.

2025: NACCOL — only an advisory body — revives it again, in the name of “patient rights”, failed to look at past consensus, pushed by vested parties ⁉️

💀 Neighbourhood GPs risk extinction → patients forced to overcrowded public KKs & hospitals & unsafe online meds (already happening)
& abuse in e-prescription.

⚠️ KKM knows this is only viable under a single-payer system (2016 & 2019 consensus) yet remained 🤫.

🚪 A policy long rejected is now creeping in via the back door ; 💊 dispensing separation pushed by vested hands, not for patients.

1/ 2014: @KKMPutrajaya cuba gabung 4 undang-undang farmasi jadi RUUF. Dalamnya: 💊 pengasingan ubat & 📄 preskripsi wajib.
2/ Sesi PEMANDU Dec2015 : ratusan hadir, hanya 8 doktor. Sepakat: hanya sesuai jika ada satu pembayar seperti NHS.

Good news to all our contract doctors! Following PMX DS @anwaribrahim ‘s announcement last month, 4,352 Medical Officers Grade UD10 will begin their permanent journey in public service this year. 🩺

This move reaffirms our commitment to dignity, fairness, security & systemic reform of the Public Healthcare.

📍 Offer letters will be issued by 18 Aug 2025, with reporting as early as 2 Oct
📍 Appointments will roll out in Phases 1, 2 & 3 — ensuring fairness & seniority (and notwithstanding the bureaucracy)
📍 KKM worked closely with SPA, JPA & MOF to expedite and ‘fast-tracked’ this process

This is more than a milestone, it’s a restoration of dignity and a recognition of sacrifice.

To all our doctors: We hear you. We value you. We’re with you, always.
Together, we will endeavour to end the era of Contract Doctors (from what was supposedly-interim-arrangement in 2016 that had survived till 2025).💪🏻✊❤️

Dengan hala tuju sekarang, mungkin ini model masa depan, doktor swasta buka gerai sebelah penjual jagung bakar. Mudah @KPDN_HQ pantau harga ubat secara terus.

Cukup. Profesi perubatan tak sepatutnya diperlakukan sebegini. Klinik bukan perniagaan runcit. YBMK @DrDzul & @KKMPutrajaya perlu bangkit dan pastikan autonomi doktor tidak dikikis oleh campur tangan luar yang tak faham realiti klinikal and pesakit.

Kami bukan peniaga. Kami penjaga kesihatan rakyat.
