Moonbound soon! Reid, Christina, Jeremy & Vic are living in the @NASA quarantine facility, ready to launch in 9 days.
They have spent years in that simulator behind them, and many similar, inventing how to work through all possible failures. They're the first crew to ever fly the huge SLS rocket, and to pilot the Orion spaceship. They will be the fastest humans in history.
Risking their lives for all who follow, as we start settling on the Moon and beyond.
Artemis 2 will be test-fueled starting tomorrow night, a critical dress rehearsal. If all goes well, launch is 9:41 PM EST on Friday 6 Feb.

Want to know more about what’s causing the issues at our Bay d’Espoir plant? Our VP Engineering, Rob Collett chatted with @EddieSheerr earlier today about frazil ice and the importance of Bay d’Espoir to our system. #nlwx
.@NLHydro has issued a POWER WARNING for Saturday morning due to ongoing frazil ice issues at the Bay d'Espoir hydro plant. Earlier today, I spoke with Rob Collett, VP of Engineering at NL Hydro, about this type of ice and why it's such an issue. #nlwx

Due to local weather conditions and the presence of frazil ice along our Bay d'Espoir system, Hydro is advising customers that a Power Watch will be in effect for Thursday morning (January 22) for the island. This means we're watching the system closely but NO ACTION is required at this time.
Frazil ice is a slushy ice that often forms in lakes and rivers during cold, windy conditions like those we've seen this week. It can clump together causing ice jams for hydro power and municipal water systems.
Our teams are working to lessen the effects on our system and for our customers. We'll continue to keep you updated. #nlwx
To the members of the Canadian Armed Forces who risk their lives to keep Canadians safe — like those deployed to help fight wildfires and support communities in Newfoundland and Labrador this week — thank you, for everything.
We mourn the passing of Alex Faulkner. Alex played one game with the Maple Leafs in 1961 and was the first player born in Newfoundland to appear in an NHL game. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
The #CanadianFlag is turning 60 years young today! Celebrate National Flag of Canada Day with #ParksCanada and all the wonderful places the maple leaf flies over from coast to coast to coast. 🇨🇦 #FlagDay
The iconic #Canadian flag was first raised in 1965, and it represents the values we all cherish: generosity, openness, respect and equality! Share your pride and drop your photos of #Canada’s flag raised in your area! #CanadianFlag 🇨🇦
On 9/11, when I was U.S. Ambassador to #NATO, the very first country that came to our defense was #Canada. Canadian forces then fought with us in Afghanistan. Lesson for Americans: Treasure our allies. Respect them. They’re on our side.
President John F Kennedy
Address Before the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa.
May 17, 1961
Geography has made us neighbors. History has made us friends. Economics has made us partners. And necessity has made us allies. Those whom nature hath so joined together, let no man put asunder.
What unites us is far greater than what divides us. The issues and irritants that inevitably affect all neighbors are small deed in comparison with the issues that we face together--above all the somber threat now posed to the whole neighborhood of this continent--in fact, to the whole community of nations. But our alliance is born, not of fear, but of hope. It is an alliance that advances what we are for, as well as opposes what we are against.
And so it is that when we speak of our common attitudes and relationships, Canada and the United States speak in 1961 in terms of unity. We do not seek the unanimity that comes to those who water down all issues to the lowest common denominator--or to those who conceal their differences behind fixed smiles--or to those who measure unity by standards of popularity and affection, instead of trust and respect.
We are allies. This is a partnership, not an empire. We are bound to have differences and disappointments--and we are equally bound to bring them out into the open, to settle them where they can be settled, and to respect each other's views when they cannot be settled.

The Stellar Eagle normally inhabits Russia, Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan. The fact that it has been living on the Bonavista Peninsula for a 3rd straight year, is mind boggling. It made an appearance for us this morning.
