SF wrap up, some random takes to give you a flavor:
🤖 As usual, I show up feeling decent about my AI game. First conversation in and I realize I'm playing in League 2.
🚖 Self driving cars, total mindblow. Had no idea we were already there.
🚕 Hundreds of @Waymo cruising around, a few @zoox too, it's become the default way to get around.
🚗 @Tesla on full FSD, you hit go from your underground parking and your car parks itself 45 minutes later somewhere out in the Marin Headlands backcountry.
🇫🇷 French scene still strong, big community, rooftop party and BBQ at @joinhexa House, great vibe.
🧥 Sunny but the air is freezing. SPF 50 at noon, by 6pm you're pulling on your third fleece.
🎾 Padel is landing hard. No squad at the level yet but it's coming ;) Squash players better watch out.
🧃 Kingdom of kombucha and functional drinks, you hide to sip your glass of wine.
🧠 Obviously AI talk from every angle. Everyone defending their LLM, Gemini vs Claude vs OpenAI, all at each other's throats.
🏔️ Outdoor scene is wild. Sports Basement on Saturday morning renting skis, snowboards, crampons, MTBs, gravel bikes, everything for 150 miles around.
Founders still humble and welcoming. One or two French douchebags inevitably.
🌉 SF is on fire, good to see. Buzzing, drinks on terraces, less crack, more joy.
✈️ Would I come back?
Absolutely. And soon.
⚡️ A few surprises in store.
thanks for the welcome 🙏

11 hours, 100 hackers, 5k in prizes in the heart of Paris.
We gave everyone unlimited use of Pioneer to fine-tune and deploy their own small models this weekend.
The Pioneer challenge winners fine-tuned GLiNER2 to extract medical entities from transcribed patient records and clinical transcripts for an AI-assisted clinical workspace that helps doctors capture, structure, and complete patient consultations.
Huge thanks to @techeurope_ for organizing, @joinhexa for hosting.
Next stop → Munich. Dates coming soon.
#Robotics: The space where @X FOMO and unrealistic marketing claims are out of control.
I had enough of cool videos with nothing IRL, so I went to #China to understand the real state of the field and a realistic timeline.

In Europe, we’re better at building products than telling their story.
We still treat narrative like marketing bullshit 💩
And when someone tells a great story… we get suspicious.
As if strong storytelling couldn’t coexist with a great product.
That’s a mistake.
Narrative is what makes:
– teams move
– talent join
– customers choose
– investors back
So we’re bringing in one of the best to make it stick:
@FNDR_James
10 years alongside Steve Jobs, shaping stories behind the iPod, iPhone, App Store…
Then with Brian Chesky to launch Trips.
Met him almost by chance.
Hooked in seconds.
Come see for yourself.

We're bringing one of the best storytelling minds in tech to Hexa.
James Vincent spent 10+ years working for Steve Jobs on the narratives behind the iPhone, iPad, iPod & App Store. He now runs FNDR, working with founders like Brian Chesky, Evan Spiegel & more.
He's coming to Paris on April 28th to talk about the skill most founders underestimate, until it costs them.
Storytelling isn't prep for the big raise. It's how you close the hire, align the team, and make someone believe in what you're building.
Talk + Q&A. At Hexa.

Over the past 10+ years, I’ve been following @tanguygo closely.
From day one, I felt he had something special.
We kept crossing paths.
At ICAB, then in Flagey, where he built Djump and later Cowboy.
For 10 years, I’ve watched him build.
And for almost as long, I’ve thought we’d end up working together one day.
Tanguy is a true entrepreneur.
Technically sharp, funny, kind and above all, he knows what he’s talking about 🙂
Today, he’s joining @joinhexa as CTO.
Just a few weeks in, the impact is already clear, pushing us hard to put AI and English at the core of how we operate.
Welcome home, Tanguy.
We’ve been waiting for you. 🙏
🚀Hexa recrute son tout premier CTO.
Le cofondateur de Cowboy, Tanguy Goretti, rejoint le startup studio @joinhexa pour accélérer la création de produits à l’ère de l’IA.

We're welcoming @tanguygo as Hexa's first ever CTO. He’s going to be working hand in hand with founders to build the most technically ambitious AI companies in Europe and beyond.
Tanguy is a repeat entrepreneur who has been building for 20+ years. He is best known for co-founding Cowboy, raising €100M+, and building a fully integrated hardware and software platform connecting 80,000+ riders across Europe.
Tanguy is the latest in a growing cohort of entrepreneurs who've chosen Hexa as their next home. @phareall(founder of Luko) and @maximebrousse (founder of Selency) joined in recent months.
As AI shifts from product feature to core company architecture, founders are facing decisions that are deeply technical: about infrastructure, about hiring, about where the technology is heading. Tanguy joins to be in those conversations early, as someone who has sat in the founder's seat and knows what those decisions cost when they go wrong.
We believe the best support a founder can get comes from someone who has done it themselves. Hexa is a platform where great entrepreneurs support other great entrepreneurs.
We are in Paris this week gathering startup leaders. 📈
Today we hosted a workshop at @joinstationf for early-stage founders to help them build their GTM engine in Clay.
Yesterday 40 GTM leaders came to @joinhexa for a convo on AI GTM and a build sess followed by demos.

Everyone's calling the death of software but code has been a commodity for 10 years. Software was always more than code. In "please Claude, make me this" — the hard part is the "this." It always was.
A new company, Revolty, is joining our newly launched acceleration program, Hexa Sprint ⚡️
Across Europe, residential solar adoption is accelerating fast. But production alone isn’t enough. Without storage, households can’t fully capture the value of the energy they generate.
Energy sovereignty is a popular theme. Yet many current solutions still depend on long supply chains and newly mined resources.
Partner @maximebrousse quickly saw that Revolty was tackling the problem from a fundamentally different angle. Founded by Mathilde Janicot & Valentin Heuze, the company repurposes Europe’s second-life lithium batteries into a high-performance residential storage solution, combining circular economy principles with real industrial scalability.
The early momentum is already there, with €2M in secured orders.
The next step with Hexa Sprint, is to industrialize the technology, certify it in 2026, and equip millions of homes in the coming years.
That’s the future Revolty is building.
Interested in joining the Hexa Sprint and getting 500k & hands on involvement to 10x your chances? Apply now.
A big moment at @joinhexa .
🔥@phareall is joining us as a Partner.
You probably already know Raphaël.
He co-founded Luko, a next-generation home insurance company, later integrated into Allianz Direct.
At Hexa, he will do what he does best
launch 2 to 3 companies per year in true studio mode.
It’s demanding.
Sometimes a bit chaotic.
But that’s exactly where he thrives.
In a world moving fast, where AI reshuffles the deck almost every week, we need people like Raphaël
passionate, creative, inspiring
able to turn uncertainty into very concrete projects.
And unsurprisingly, he didn’t waste any time.
He’s already in San Francisco!
More to come very soon 🚀
back to what I truly love: building 🏗️
Thrilled to team up with @joinhexa to launch #WalkTheFrontier, a studio building global AI ventures.
1st
AI as a buyer — businesses mastered selling to humans, but AI will decide.
Also venturing in #PhysicalAI (robotics & defense).
It’s the new Gold Rush.
Ten years ago, I watched dozens of founders fly to SF to launch their startups.
It felt wild at the time.
Today? It’s ten times bigger.
Honestly...
More than 1 out of 2 French founders I meet has either already moved to SF in the past 6 months
or is packing their bags
to build an AI company.
Like it or not
this is where it’s happening.
Talent, capital, customers, exits.
Everything is there.
And yes, at @joinhexa we keep fighting for Europe.
But no one wins a battle by turning their back to the field.
So on January 1st, we’re launching the 🎉 Hexa House 🎉 in SF.
A real home for our founders
to live and breathe the US for a few weeks or a few months.
Victorian house
8 bedrooms
Big garden
Right by Golden Gate Park, in Cole Valley
A basecamp to attack AI at the heart of the global reactor.
Our mission is simple:
Give founders 10x more chances to succeed.
And right now, that means being there.
Hexa House is opening its doors.
If you want to build an AI company with us
you’re welcome to join. 🚀
PS: Yes, it’s the real house, slightly pimped, I admit.
We’re opening Hexa House San Francisco: a residence + workspace designed for Hexa founders building the next generation of AI companies.
AI is rewriting how companies are built, and the teams who win are the ones building closest to the frontier. San Francisco remains the place where breakthroughs happen. That’s why so many European founders are already moving there.
Hexa House fills the missing piece in how we support future AI entrepreneurs: by giving them a place to live, build, and immerse themselves in the environment that accelerates everything.
From now on, the Hexa Start Program includes a 3-month immersion in the Bay Area:
🏠 a place to live and build
🌉 direct exposure to SF’s unique velocity
🤝 a network to plug into from day one
⚙️ hands-on access to the buzziest ecosystem in the world
Ready to launch an AI-first company where the future is being shaped? Join us if you…
• want to build an AI-first company with access to the SF ecosystem
• already experiment with AI agents because you know they’re the future
• want to build a B2B AI startup with a hands-on, ambitious partner
• are pre-idea or pre-traction and ready to go from 0 to 1
Europe tech is on 🔥🔥🔥
