We're in an energy and climate crisis, it's paradoxical.
Hydrocarbons are powerful and portable, but limited and environmentally costly.
For Episode 36 of S³ @TerraformIndies goes in-depth and reveals how they're making natural gas from thin air.

.@artlapinsch is one of my favorite climate writers.
He explores deep topics in energy policy, career transitions, and even some thought provoking climate sci-fi. He reached out last week to push me to explain my path into climate. I love the outcome:
🚨Berkeley Earth's 2023 Global Temperature Report is now available.
2023 was by far the hottest year since direct observations began.
2023 was 1.54 ± 0.06 °C (2.77 ± 0.11 °F) above our 1850-1900 average, the first year above 1.5 °C (2.7 °F).

"But none of that will matter if we don’t accelerate our focus on our warming planet. Earth continues to warm at a faster rate than has been predicted, causing increasing pain and suffering across the globe. It is hard for humans to react to something that is thirty years out. It is a lot easier for humans to react to something that is happening to them right now. So this pain and suffering will force an acceleration of the energy transition from carbon to clean energy."

last week i took on a new role as ceo @ohalo, a company we founded 4 years ago and have operated in stealth.
@ohalo uses gene editing to completely reimagine agriculture, creating new plant varieties in major crops that were not previously feasible, significantly increasing yields and productivity, ultimately helping farmers make more food using far less land, resources, and capital.
after recently achieving some major breakthroughs, i now believe @ohalo could become one of the world's most important businesses and will be dedicating myself to realizing its potential.
this is a big change for me personally, i haven't been an operating CEO for 7+ years.. but the mind-blowing results the @ohalo team have accomplished make this decision a no-brainer.
i'll be staying on a few of my existing boards while my team @tpboard focuses on our other businesses and i dedicate my time to @ohalo.
will share more details about what we've accomplished and intend to do @ohalo very soon... stay tuned!
