Italian historian and award-winning writer Anna Foa:
"This generalized accusation of antisemitism... prevents those who genuinely want to fight antisemitism from recognizing it... It fosters the idea that antisemitism is eternal, that Jews can't live in the diaspora... and, above all, that Israelis can do whatever they want... in the name of so-called security."
"In Germany, England, and Italy, saying 'this is a genocide' causes an uproar... But you are simply looking at the criteria under international law... and unfortunately, the characteristics match. I say 'unfortunately' because, as an Italian Jewish woman, it is not easy for me to reach these conclusions."

A doctor who saved lives in #Gaza is now fighting for his own.
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya - detained without charges for over 500 days- is reportedly being tortured & at an imminent risk of death in Israeli detention.
Abu Safiya is among 14 Gaza doctors (pediatricians, surgeons & other specialists) who remain detained without charge, many for more than a year.
Their continued detention deprives patients of vital care & further undermines Gaza’s shattered healthcare system.
Their release is essential to saving lives + restoring Gaza’s shattered healthcare system.

Israeli soldiers are reportedly torturing Dr Abu Safya --a pediatrician, for God's sake!
Without strong pressure on Israel, these may could be his last hours.

BREAKING (bones)
Why does "Bring Them Home" exist only for some hostages?
Because in Apartheid Israel, where only Jewish lives matter, brutalising the Palestinians isn't an anomaly - it is the system. And the silence around it is the exact measure of our collective hypocrisy.
Physicians for Human Rights Israel has warned that Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, is now in immediate danger of being killed in Israeli occupation custody. His lawyer, Nasser Odeh, who visited him on 2 July at the underground Rakefet interrogation facility inside Nitzan Prison, said he barely recognized him. Dr. Abu Safiya was brought in shackled hand and foot, flanked by masked guards, his head, eyes, ears and neck covered in fresh injuries. He struggled to breathe and speak, could not sit upright without nearly collapsing, and seemed close to losing consciousness, too frightened to speak freely.
He told his lawyer that after his Supreme Court appeal was heard in June, guards entered his solitary cell and beat him with a hammer and batons, and that since his transfer to Rakefet on 24 June he has been beaten daily to the point of repeatedly losing consciousness, with no medical care. He said plainly: this is the last time you will see me, they brought me here to kill me. Held since December 2024 under the occupation's "Unlawful Combatants" law, without charge or trial, Dr. Abu Safiya saw his beatings escalate sharply only after he legally challenged his detention, and both his lawyer and PHRI are demanding his immediate transfer, an independent medical examination and his release, warning that any delay could cost him his life.
Orgogliosi. Eroici. Patriottici.
Con il volto nascosto.
Come si nasconde la vergogna.
Come si nascondono i vigliacchi.
Come si nasconde la gente per bene.

FTP: LAPD killed her dog. He was wearing his Knicks jersey.
His name was Jameson. A golden doodle. One of the sweetest, most gentle breeds alive.
A neighbor called a noise complaint. That's it.
20+ officers showed up. Then a helicopter. For a noise complaint in an apartment complex.
And they shot Jameson dead. In front of his owner. In front of her child.
No warning. No de-escalation. Nothing.
The media is barely covering this. No headlines. No outrage.
Like it never happened.
If this was your dog... your child watching... how would you feel?
Jameson deserved better. That little boy deserved better. His mama deserved better.

Leen Hijaz, valedictorian at her high school in North Carolina, said the following in her graduation speech:
"Before I leave the stage, I have one last thing to say. Every single person here has a voice; we have the privilege to use it when millions around the world are struggling and suffering to be heard. Whether it’s the millions suffering in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Afghanistan and so many other countries around the world, or families being torn apart by ICE. These are not just an issue here; they are happening there, they’re happening right here as I speak. My point is, we’re not given a voice to stay silent."
Corey Robin, a political theorist at Brooklyn College, writes: "The mere mention of Palestine—maybe ICE, too—sent the high school principal, Melissa Moore, hurtling across the stage to seize the microphone from Hijaz, and stop her from saying these unapproved words.
Just look at this photograph: A young Muslim woman, speaking out, and a desperate, terrified principal trying to shut her down, lest the student say something unauthorized, disapproved, discordant with the views of an increasingly small clique of government officials and voters.
It's so pathetic. It reads like a comic play by Václav Havel. It looks like the desperate last days of the Soviet Union. I can only hope Hijaz speaks for a generation that will, one day, sweep all this garbage into the dustbin of history".
At least 6 killed till the moment and more than 20 injuries amid an Israeli strike on the parking of Jabal Amel hospital in Tyre. Video from the hospital’s ICU.
Israel just committed a massacre in Lebanon, just a few meters away from a hospital.
Children killed. Women under the rubble.
We told you they wouldn't stop with Gaza.
