These are not wildfires in Algeria, Croatia, Canada, or Spain… this is what Israel is doing, burning village after village in southern Lebanon, while the world remains silent!

Israel has destroyed, burned, and occupied 10 additional villages in southern Lebanon despite signing a US-sponsored framework agreement.

More than 16,000 hectares have been entirely burned, including over 120 hectares of centuries-old olive groves to ashes in southern Lebanon, estimated to be 300-1000 years old.

These are war crimes under international law: Wanton devastation not justified by military necessity; also an act of genocide according to Article Il of the UN Genocide Convention. Yet, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights does not view them as war crimes—just as he saw no genocide in Gaza!

🇮🇱 Dozens of masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes near Qusra, surrounding one house and pelting it with stones while seven Palestinians were trapped inside, according to witnesses.

But what happened when the IDF arrived is now under scrutiny.

Residents say Israeli troops fired tear gas into the house, then handcuffed, blindfolded and beat the Palestinians inside, while none of the attacking settlers were detained. The IDF says its forces arrived to remove “rioters” and protect the residents, but has not addressed the allegations of beatings.

The attack finally drew a public response from Netanyahu:

“I strongly condemn the criminal acts of violence committed in the villages of Qusra and Jalud.”

It is Netanyahu’s first public condemnation of the recent violence in Qusra, coming after the U.S. reportedly pressured him to speak out.

Another settler attack. Another village under siege. And once again, the argument is increasingly about not only who is committing the violence, but who the security forces are actually protecting.
