Before I discuss Ireland🇮🇪, let me first talk about what happens when you are done schooling:

Students graduating in Ireland with a degree at level 8 or above (honours degree, masters or doctorate) may apply to stay on for a period after their studies for the purpose of seeking employment - and with the potential to apply for an employment permit.

The maximum terms under the current regulations are:

1. Level 8 (e.g. Bachelor Honours Degree) - Maximum 12 months

2. Level 9 (e.g. Masters Degree) - Maximum 24 months

When one applies for a work permit after 2 years of master under 2 years PSW in Ireland🇮🇪 and further extends the work permit for 1 year, they become eligible to permanent residency in Ireland 🇮🇪.
