@StephenRoberge7 @needmorestonks @VaDOT We are coming from the South and thought we’d timed our run to avoid the worst of the weather…. the severity of the road conditions following the storm was a bit of a surprise. Relatives we’re travelling with live in Boston and have rarely seen road conditions this bad.

I-95 remains closed in the Fredericksburg area. Snow plows & tow trucks are on the scene. Motorists should plan to avoid travel on I-95 in this area until lanes reopen and significant congestion clears the area.

NB is 104 (Carmel Church) and 110 is Ladysmith.

@NBC12 Instead of this, why aren’t you keeping us up to date on the Fredericksburg, VA, I-95 disaster? We’ve been stuck in standstill sub-freezing temperatures for over four hours. We are safe but there are hundred affected. Providing updates should be a priority
