Injury related deaths in Low and Middle Income Countries ( LMICs ) in 2016 were higher than deaths from Tuberculosis, Malaria and HIV/AIDS combined.
According to a report by the Economist Intelligence Unit, 83% of the global deaths from injury occur in LMICs like The Gambia.
