The biggest problem the State has with Lucy Letby having the CCRB refer her case back to the CoA is the crater it would cause.
The fallout would be seismic.
They simply can't allow the biggest miscarriage of justice in British history to be revealed.
So they'll do nothing
@Courtwatch_Olly 1. Can you identify who the different Nick Johnson is please. A link to his chambers would be ideal. Thanks.
2. You may see it as irrelevant but I dont, we have a difference of opinion here.
⚠️ Prosecution lawyer requests a whole life order for Jamie Varley
Defending Jamie Varley, Nick Johnson KC says whole life orders are reserved for the most serious cases -
If this isn't one of the most serious cases, I don't know what is!
@Mia87562570@Thirlwall_Inq@CommunityCCRC@cheshirepolice It is further flawed when Stonier was allowed by the court to 'act' out Lucys interview playing the part of Lucy herself, while prosecution KC played the part of Stonier.
Why couldn't the Jury just listen to or watch the interview? That seems to be the fair way to do it.
Allowing Danielle stonier family liaison officer to also conduct defendant interviews is a ridiculously flawed . she was not independent and it was a major conflict of interest . she bullied lucy letby . @Thirlwall_Inq@CommunityCCRC@cheshirepolice
@ContrarianJolly He gives the reason for going to check because 'you know whats happend when Lucy's been alone before'... so he acts on his convictions, which are validated by what he witnesses but then never follows up on it, until he's found to have been bullying her. Highly suspicious.
Can anyone explain why this judicial matter is being taken up by PM?
Am I mistaken in thinking that the judiciary is totally independent of government?
BBC News - Sentences of boys spared custody over Hampshire rape referred to Court of Appeal, PM says

@JabesAllowed@SusieQ7038@Cnb1717 There was no crime scene investigation by the police either.
They dug up lucy letbys garden, searched her gutters and photographed the contents of her bedroom.
But did they get a forensic team in to swab the hospital ward? Checking for bad bugs in the water?
No, of course not.
If the Criminal Cases Review Commission refers the case of the Court Of Appeal, the Thirlwall Inquiry could yet play in important part.
Forget the report, but make good use of all that information it is sat on.
Get funding for open justice. Make it ALL public. (11/11)
Lady Justice Thirlwall did not look at any of the lessons the Dutch learned from that terrible mistake.
If she had, she would have found the solution - in any case of unexpected healthcare deaths, get in an expert "crash investigation" team.
NOT the cops. (7/11)
So grateful to @drphilhammond, whose latest column is out today, for posing the question I've spent more than a year asking the @Thirlwall_Inq, only to be met with stonewalling.
Did the Thirlwall Inquiry sit on exculpatory evidence ahead of Lucy Letby's retrial?
Specifically, did the Thirlwall Inquiry sit on an explosive email by one of her main accusers, Dr Ravi Jayaram, which completely demolished his claim of walking in on her trying to murder a baby?
Did Lady Justice Thirlwall and her team of silks, whether deliberately or by unfortunate oversight, sit on this evidence, and thus allow Letby to be retried, then convicted, then sentenced to life, on a charge that, by the prosecutor's own admission, stood or fell on Dr Jayaram's credibility?
Did the Thirlwall Inquiry do this?
For whatever reason, the Thirlwall Inquiry refuses to say.
@guyrowlanduk@VeraBaird@VeraBaird adding my voice to the call for you personally to expedite processes to bring justice for lucy letby as quickly as possible
There should be no reason this cannot be done before the end of this month - with all the available public information - it is frankly obvious.
@JabesAllowed A normal person would say jararams testimony is perjury.
The court of appeal would say jararams testimony differs from the contemporaneous records.
@LucyLetbyTrials@triedbystats It is astonishing that the CCRC are being soooo tardy in referring this to the CofA. What is wrong with them? Lucy needs to be freed now pending the final outcome which, however it is determined, will see her cleared. And she deserves massive compensation.
@guyrowlanduk He made sure that the defence could not stray from the prosecution line that something happened to those babies and it was just a question of who had done it. The same narrow thinking that occurred in the Post Office trials countless times..
Astonishing transcript here.
Judge Goss was adamant the jury never heard that Lucy Letby won her grievance, was set to return to the unit and the doctors' allegations were found to be baseless.
The police said those doctors were "the golden thread" of the investigation.
