My lab has a 1-year supply of helium in place, because I saw this coming and ordered my analysts to stock up in early March.
Apparently we got the last available "extra" helium in the supply chain.

Something that’s been genuinely painful to come across on Instagram is the accounts of Iranian influencers I’ve followed for years.
I click on their profiles, scroll through their grids, and realize their last post was in December.
Of course, it’s understandable.
But it’s also a heartbreaking reminder of just how abruptly life has been interrupted in Iran.
It started with the protests against the regime in late December and early January, followed by the industrial-scale massacre the regime carried out between January 8 and 10, two internet shutdowns, and then nearly 40 days of war from the United States and Israel.
UN human rights chief @volker_turk condemns “the tirade of incendiary rhetoric” in the Middle East war, including the latest threats to annihilate a "whole civilisation".
“This is sickening,” he said.
