Got the W. Bunch of completions. Had fun. Thankful. Sure, for touchdowns and college experience, but mostly? Just to spend time with our boy. Life’s not a competition; it’s a gift. ❤️ @MinesFootball
Today’s Oval Office meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy was shameful. President Zelenskyy represents a nation whose citizens have sacrificed their lives and shed blood for the freedoms they cherish. He deserves respect, not humiliation.
3/3 End of an era, but I’ve given endings some of my best thinking and here's what I’m guessing: endings are always attached to new beginnings. So bring on new beginnings.
Thnx @MinesFootball Great. Great experience. ♥️
1/3 This guy. When healthy, he was one of the best in the country. So fun to watch him. On the field and off. (also, proud of him for wearing his sister's number ... #2 ... not a day goes by that we don't miss her.💔)
2/3 He’s the last of our three to finish up athletics for wife and I. It was a blast. All of it. Every single soccer, bball, and football game for 26 years straight.
In the new episode of The Rise of Bonhoeffer, we explore how Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrestled with the Nazificiation of the church and its accommodation to a rising Christian nationalism.
One of the most provocative moments in his story was in February of 1934, when the German Church Foreign Office sent Bishop Theodor Heckel to London, England, to reign in his resistance. Bonhoeffer walked out of the meeting and was then labeled an enemy of the state and prohibited from saying anything short of unconditional support for the Nazi regime. A few weeks later, he responded robustly when reflecting on Paul’s admonition that "strength is made perfect in weakness."
"Christianity stands or falls with its revolutionary protest against violence, arbitrariness and pride of power and with its apologia for the weak – I feel that Christianity is rather doing too little in showing these points than doing too much. Christianity has adjusted itself much too easily to the worship of power. It should give much more offense, more shock to the world, than it is doing. Christianity should take a much more definite stand for the weak than consider the potential moral right of the strong.” - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

If that one person or group is the source of all your problems, they become the source of all your solutions, and you've given all your power away. So, be strong, creativity and patience are still a reality.
I'm constantly surprised at how so many US Christians are completely unaware of the variation in forms of Christianity. If penal substitution is essential for being a Christian, the entire Eastern Orthodox church is non-Christian.

Got the W. Few TDs. O-line is the coolest. Got out of Alamosa without 14 stitches (like we got last time here). Big game next week. I’ve always thought that football was the most important of the lesser important things in life. Go digs. @MinesFootball

Déjà vu as Schiele catches his second TD in less than two minutes! He has 133 yards and 2 tuddies in the first half.
