The death and devastation caused by Hamas’ terrorist attack on the people of Israel is difficult to comprehend. Hundreds have been slaughtered, injured, and abducted. A nation has been shaken to its core.

Four years ago today, 23 people were shot and killed and 22 more were injured by a white supremacist at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas.

We honor the victims, survivors, and families by working every day to disarm hate and create a safer future.

Any time a Republican blames shootings on mental health, remind them:

-@GovAbbott cut $211 million in funding for it.
-Republicans in Congress voted against school-based services.

Only in the US do we make it easier to get a gun than mental health services.

Nearly one year after the horrific shooting in Uvalde and two weeks after many of the Uvalde families testified for a bill to raise the age to 21 to buy certain semi-automatic rifles, #TXlege won’t even bring that bill up for a vote.

@fred_guttenberg @RepBarryMoore @laurenboebert @Santos4Congress Yeah someone wants NRA funding. The radical right and gun manufacturers have already advertised the AR15 as "America's Rifle." I'm a shooter. I'm a pistol instructor working inside the gun saftey movement. The National Gun should be the Super Soaker.

@MISenDems Good for the Senate. We certainly didn't get any help from the last congress. Nothing in these bills deprives anyone of their constitutional rights. Nothing in these proposals keeps anyone from obtaining legally obtaining a firearm.

Yesterday, Michigan lawmakers promised MSU students that they will take action to end gun violence.

Today, @MISenDems followed through and introduced:

✅ Universal background checks
✅ Safe storage requirement
✅ Extreme risk protection orders

The #MILeg will get this done.
