Surely the time has come to remove these outdated, broken and graffiti filled machines. Makes the whole environment look unwelcoming and even dangerous. Who will take action? @CambsCC@pippaheylings
Two Tory-run councils, including Hampshire, warn PM of possible bankruptcy. This manages to be both unsurprising yet terribly alarming. Without central government help many councils - and the people they serve - will be facing incredibly difficult times. https://t.co/i19HLbotuH
The village of Oxenholme has been without a post office for almost the last three years.
So after a lot of campaigning and work alongside local councillors, I'm delighted that today the post office has been reopened in its new home - Oxenholme Railway station.
@timfarron So good to see this. We need to find out how it was done and investigate rolling it out more widely across the network. There must be other places that would benefit hugely.

James O'Brien absolutely destroys Brexiteer after Brexiteer as 'all of their chickens have come home to roost almost at exactly the same time'.
This is one of his most explosive monologues yet...

Delighted once again to chair the Rail in the North 2022 Conference in the fantastic Science and Industry Museum in #Manchester. Great set of speakers and excellent discussion. @Modern_Railways@RailDeliveryGrp
Hello from Barcelona airport. Pic 1 EU passport queue. Waiting time 30 seconds. Pic 2 a fragment of the queue for everyone else (aka Brexit plus Rest of World queue). Current waiting time one hour. Nobody in Q admitting to having voted for act of national self harm.
The date's changed (to 6 Oct) but we're more excited than ever for the #CommunityRail Awards 22 -

(If you're booked on, pls reply to our team to confirm if you can still make it!)
It was honour to be called to speak in the House of Commons to give a tribute to Her Majesty the Queen.
I reflected on the incredible impact she had on so many of our lives, her selfless service to our country, her love of Cumbria and her faith in Jesus Christ.
