@Duoae@PugetSystems It's 100% fair that we could get something wrong in that process, or could lean more on the side of stability over performance. Those are judgment calls we have to make all the time and I can tell you for sure that without it the stability situation would be much worse here. 2/2
@Duoae@PugetSystems Yep, that would be a fair statement. We arrive at those by settings during our qualification process, at which time we determine which settings maximize performance and stability while staying within manufacturer specifications. 1/2
@Duoae@PugetSystems Once we have a customer PC back in the shop for repair, the testing process is the same as our initial burn-in. So the testing process is the same, but the customer impact is much different. 2/2
@Duoae@PugetSystems I'm not sure I completely follow the question. Shop failures are one we catch during our initial burn-in before we ship to the customer. Field failures are ones that make it to the customer, which requires them to shop the PC back to us for repair. 1/2

Anything that doesn't pass our stability testing is a failure. I'm omitting things like shipping damage. Most present as BSODs or hard locks/freezes in the OS.
