I love how all the old white guys are mad at Taylor swift for having fun at her boyfriend’s football game. If they had girlfriends and played football in high school they would be pissed if their gf’s weren’t as happy when they made a big play. F’n losers.

@Nautical1984 I respect your opinion. I truly do. But if you watched the game today it would prove otherwise. They didn’t show her after every play he made. After the touchdowns sure, but not after every play. If there’s a chance he’s hurt, sure they will show her. Again, a concerned gf.

Observations:

1. Today is a very dark day for Red Sox fans.

2. Ownership/Breslow ahead of their cowardly decision to skip winter weekend, essentially confess that this was in fact a long-term rebuild.

3. Despite never really advancing the Red Sox pitching program in the minors or at the major league level, Chaim Bloom was put in an impossible situation.

4. This is why at least 10 highly respected MLB executives (Brandon Gomes-James Click-Kim Ng) snubbed the Red Sox, who are trying to essentially compete on a Cardinals/Twins type budget.

5. @Dan_Shaughnessy was 1000% correct that John Henry was merely creating the “illusion” of competing for a championship, while being not even close to putting that type of a product on the field.

6. Yoshinobu Yamamoto was a pipe dream all along, and the Red Sox grossly and repeatedly lied all of their fans, local beat writers, and national MLB media in regards to the sincerity of their interest in the Japanese ace.

7. Speculatively, Red Sox ownership irrationally believed they could get away with letting Rafael Devers walk from the organization Mookie Betts style. BUT…. doing so would’ve FORCED them to confess much earlier to the fanbase that winning would NOT be the goal for the next 3-4 years. So they caved, and signed Devers in order to protect their false narrative.

8. Respect for the Red Sox organization from industry executives, insiders, free agent players, press/media members, and their generations of hardcore fans is at an all time low.

9. The people in charge of this lengthy Red Sox rebuild have never demonstrated level of IQ needed in order to execute that plan. Breslow has never done it. And ownership has a history of massive missteps (Lester-Mookie-Sandoval-Sale). They aren’t even smart enough to simply tell the fucking truth.

10. There is no shame whatsoever in canceling your @NESN subscription, season tickets, getting refunds on your individual game tickets. Thats money is probably better off in your bank account, and not John Henry’s.

@Bastards_Boston This goes to show that this ownership doesn’t care about life long fans like me and they only want the revenue from the fans who love that they are at a historical landmark. They don’t care about the sport played there. They only want the $ pushing through there.
