@GNev2 I’ve done the maths for you. Get a good voting app for club decisions. £500 get a free shirt and a TV subscription, £5,000,000 get a nice seat that heats your bum on a cold Mancunian day on the Mancunian Way. You in?
@hubermanlab Would this be a roughly accurate heuristic?
To live a potentially longer and healthier life, try doing one of the below everyday:
• Shiver
• Sweat
• Sigh
• Get out of breath
• Experience sore muscles
• Feel very hungry
@hubermanlab 👋 Can one ‘run off’ excessive caffeine through exercise? This morning I had too much coffee (it’s my birthday!) then went for an 90mins run and felt anxious and nauseous the first half, and a lot calmer the second. Thanks for the podcast. Jon 🙏
What do you reckon @ChrisGPackham ? I know you must be busy so no worries, but I'd really appreciate it if you can. Happy to send you the pics. Take care, Jon.
@ChrisGPackham My 11 yr old son Ivor entered the @RSPCA_official Youth Photography Award but didn’t make it. I thought his photos were great (particularly his mother & baby elephant). Could you send him a message of encouragement? He loves nature and your shows. Thanks. Jon 🙏
@drjacobham Hi Jacob. I'm enjoying your interview with Dan Harris a lot (20mins to go). I love the Hulk metaphor. I use these two specific Hulk images from The Avengers and have found them useful to communicate, so I thought I'd share in case you find them useful too. (images coming below)
@drjacobham I use this image to describe the role a listener / therapist / teacher can play in helping us to see ourselves more objectively. I think it describes the stages that adult developmental psychologists claim to exist or the 'aware of awareness' / witness type perspectives too...
Precision required: I don’t mean child stars who had to homeschool in order to pursue their careers. I mean families who chose an alternative education prior to any success.
.@Gatwick_Airport What have queues through security been like? We're flying tomorrow at 2.30pm and have heard from friends that queues are very very long. Could you let us know please so we know how long in advance to come?
@RichDecibels In my experience it certainly *can* be. I can also see somebody might take a different path. The path of parental self-righteousness could be tempting too I think...
@RichDecibels Similar yes (happy to DM): I've gone from against things to trying to be discerning and meticulous. On parental stuff similar too. Becoming a dad made me see how hard it is and how I do the same stuff. Forgiving has been a deliberate exercise. Less retreat fireworks on that one.
@RichDecibels Sometimes when I do this, I kind of see it as an act of growing up. Like adult me is choosing to take the reigns from child me. I find there's growth in doing *small* things I don't really want to do. It's like overcoming that 'I don't want to go to school!!!' feeling I think.
@RichDecibels I have little to contribute (at least not in this format/forum) but would be interested to hear what happens and how you deal with it. Good luck.
