It's #OrganDonationWeek, the perfect time to reflect, celebrate, and make a life-saving difference. 💕
It takes just two minutes to register your organ donation decision, and your choice could save up to nine lives. It’s the best thing you’ll do today! https://t.co/Ubd1SeNDUr
Dr Naeem Meghjee joined the @NIHR Associate Principal Investigator (API) scheme as he wanted to have an active role in a clinical trial and insight into being a PI.
As an API he led and delivered the @MFTnhs sponsored feasibility study SWIPE 2 👏.

20/ I dont want to get sidetracked into the defects in TRS, Ive talked about them publicly & privately before, see here for more info 🧵
If you can read TRS & make an #informedchoice to reverse CHOICE2, you know a lot more about NHS pensions than me!

Alright. It's post Christmas, time to weigh up the current landscape and start voting regarding the consultant pay offer, is it enough? a good enough start, are you confident enough has been done to fix the fairness of the DDRB? Info here https://t.co/EoOLVRAcLW turnout is vital!
1/ NEW & IMPORTANT: So we need to talk about NHS pay. NEW shocking [post DDRB] data just in 4/1/24 👇 (SPOILER: Not "fair & reasonable")
We need to fix pay/retention to fix waiting lists- increasingly clear next GE will won/lost on NHS
Please read whole 🧵 & share widely/RT
@Resuspiece 2/2 - clinical work will usually take care of itself, but squeezing your PhD in is tough. ?Happy to catch up for a call sometime if you think it would help...
@Resuspiece 1/2 - It is a challenge: officially research is just under 40% of my job plan but that also includes leading our ICU portfolio & chairing our ED/ICU/Anaes research group.
My PhD is on the use of hyperoncotic albumin in septic shock: SRMA followed by a feasibility study
Just a reminder that this man - at the start of his disastrous reign of error as education secretary scrapped the schools building programme within weeks of taking up office (with cummings at his side).
Concrete achievements
As a TPD I am not allowed to comment on the strike other than to wish that everyone gets together soon and settles it amicably blah blah blah.
But they never said we can't post pictures wordlessly.
So here are two pics.
The PM really does need to understand that he is now further damaging U.K. science by not immediately rejoining Horizon, presumably to placate some know-nothing fringe bloviators who know nothing about science, its value or how it’s conducted. As Lord Rees says below, it is baffling. Get on with it.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: No wonder jnr doctors & nurses don’t feel valued. Not everyone is “feeling poor”equally @bankofengland . What gvmnt has done to their pay 👇 is an absolute disgrace
RT if u think @SteveBarclay@Jeremy_Hunt@RishiSunak should #PayRestoration & save our NHS
An absolute disgrace from @Telegraph 👇which shows their shambolic understanding of basic numeracy (just read their public sector pensions coverage for more examples)
