@xxv @whichlights I experienced this too on some old lights. My guess is galvanic corrosion is enhanced by the DC bias, so I think it makes sense that using low-voltage AC for transmission could mitigate the problem.

@obra TP-Link Omada is cost-effective and simpler to manage than Mikrotik gear in my experience. It's still aimed at professionals though; not sure I'd call it "parent friendly" but then again it should be set-and-forget for small deployments.
