19 October 1894 | A Polish man, Stanisław Jan Szwed, was born in Zagórz. He was an officer in the Polish Army, a recipient of the Order of Virtutii Militari, a local government activist, and a member of the Polish Parliament.

During the war, he was arrested by the Germans for his activities in the underground.

In #Auschwitz from 5 February 1942.
No. 100429.
In September 1944, he was transferred to KL Ravensbrück.
He survived the war.

He passed in 1984.
