@Warrendonnelly It was a warm one. Thankfully I was at the track by 9am but it was getting pretty warm by the end of the session. It really is a beautiful place to run. 😃
@HybridSthenics The scenery is glorious and I love 400s! It’s a great distance - short and quick. 800s are so much tougher for me. Give me 400s any day!
@tomwilliams1974@d_robinson71 It’s a great race and a stunningly beautiful course. I ran it last year. It’s also quite rolling - Lausanne is not a flat place! - but without being too much. Really well organised. You should really enjoy it (well as much as you can ever enjoy a full gas marathon!!).
@TrissIsHotter That’s definitely doable. Berlin is a great course - as quick as it gets. Three potentially easy wins to boost your time are to get your fuelling sorted, don’t go out too hard and get a good pair of shoes. Obviously consistent training helps as well!
Marathon des Terroirs du Valais - 2:59:32. 13th overall. 1st in AG.
2 road marathons in 4 weeks is hard work, especially after setting a PB (2:56:41) 4 weeks ago. Another sub-three for the collection - seven in two and a half years now. 48 years old when I ran my first one. 😃
@ogeerunner Thanks very much Allan. Road marathons are hard but I’ve really enjoyed running a few of them over the last couple of years. Such a tough distance and so tricky to get right. I need to use what little speed I have while I’ve still got it!!
@TrissIsHotter I’m 51 now. I ran my first marathon in 2008 in four hours fifteen minutes. My first sub-three was 2:58:39 in 2022. Between 2010 and 2022 I only ran 2 road marathons but I ran a few ultras over that period.
