@CycloneLarry69 Larry, I think you really need to consider that K-State has the opportunity to end BOTH Iowa team's seasons, and really, isn't that for the greater good?
https://t.co/zKy67j9xTw The Big 12 Expands: Making Sense of the Timeline — We take the media to task, and give up some of the dirt we had over the last week that we were smart enough to keep quiet about... because it was wrong, and we sensed it was wrong.
@KRod_505@NicoleAuerbach (2/2) The P5 conferences do have the ability to make rules for themselves, but to date the G5 schools have CHOSEN to adopt pretty much every decision the P5 has adopted.
Now whose fault is THAT? They have choices, and it ain’t like the Sun Belt is COMPETING with the SEC, okay?
@KRod_505@NicoleAuerbach No, there is not.
For general NCAA regulations, *every NCAA school* has a vote. Within each division, *every school in the division* has a vote for things affecting only that division. The votes for the things that enrage fans are almost always nearly unanimous. (1/2)
@KRod_505@NicoleAuerbach Kenn, I hate to tell you this but the G5, and the FCS schools, and even D-II and D-III are all just as culpable.
The issue and the enemy here is the pretense of amateurism, not the P5. There's not a university president in the country who doesn't think the NCAA is doing its job.
@Dicention@johncanzanobft I’m sorry South Florida’s admin was such a tirefire that y’all let UCF — UCF!!! — outrun you. You had everything going for you and then I watched USF fans rage against admin for a decade. Must be hard on you.
@Dicention@johncanzanobft Karma’s a bitch, ain’t it?
When we got raided, we were told by the media it was because we didn’t deserve to exist and schools have to look out for themselves. But the Pac dies as a result of its own incompetence and now we’re the BAD guy? Fuck that.
@Dicention@johncanzanobft Blame Pac-12 leadership for lying to the membership about what kind of deal they could expect and being unable to come up with enough money to even pay WASHINGTON STATE’S bills, or the INTEREST in Cal’s stadium renovation loan.
@DaBruiser5@NicoleAuerbach The NCAA had the responsibility for this stripped from them in NCAA v Oklahoma.
You can’t blame an organization for failing to police an aspect of the system they were told by THE SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES that they could not legally regulate anymore.
Think.
@gothlaw @senorblanxo Of course, one of the main reasons Meisner left is that after one tour he'd had quite the fuck enough of singing Take It to the Limit live, and the rest of the band pressured him
