We’re proud to share the incredible impact of our recent art therapy project at Gisambai High, an initiative by Thee Safe House in collaboration with Joyful Ecomind. Through art, students found a new way to express themselves, build resilience, and connect with their peers!
As I have always said, with drunk driving you either learn or you die. There’s nothing on your body or in your car that you can fix with 2k. Just take the Uber home.
@NjeriWaMigwi Same exact thing happened to a man I know. I am coming to realize this is happening to a lot of men 💔 And sadly they cannot speak or report because they will be mocked. Another told me the police made fun of him “ati ilikuwa style gani” and such questions as they laughed. Sigh.
I think the word narcissistic is a grab-all for many people. They use it to describe a person who is toxic, harmful, dysfunctional, unhealthy, incredibly selfish, low levels of empathy etc..
The implication being the person/relationship was unworkable & destructive.
Healthy narcissism like laser focus on goals, ability to put oneself first, ability to say no are vital skills people pleasers & codependents must learn to grow.
@LydiahKinyanju4 Thin line between sharing with children and emotional abuse.
Children may not have the capacity to deal with the feelings your sad stories evoke.
Boys especially are very sensitive to their mothers' complaints...
If he is unable to sort it out, it affects him directly.
@Dr_AustinOmondi Daktari, excuse us Kenyans, we have only really come to terms with the fact that there is clinical depression in our communities, and it's not sadness. moodiness, and laziness. We are glad to shout about mental health but not accepting of it.
