I was one the first in line for a @tesla model 3 in Norway and applaude the companys initiative and mission to electrify cars. I have however no problems in rejecting @tesla and @elonmusk attacks on unions in Sweden. The right to unionize is fundamental in the Nordics.

Ellers ingen skadet.
Dette er Adamstuen omsorgsboliger, brannen er slukket, en del røyk i bygget, lufter ut med vifter, beboere slippes inn i samlingsrom, en del vann på gulvet som vi tar opp med vannsugere.
In the last weeks, I've seen a lot of interest and motion on the #GreenFacade systems. I'll try to summarize what happened, but first I've figured we need to refine the message. At this point, I do not feel green facades are a 'new' issue. It is simply 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 again.
So, for recent publications. First and foremost, @evacguy and his team published an insightful position paper on the problem in the UK context. You can read this paper here: https://t.co/0oDMzSwInH
Just today on Linkedin I saw a piece by Alicia Clarson on the role of vegetation and a summary of Dahanayake et al. research into that. There was also an exciting read by Jim Glockling on the role of components and construction of the system, also referring to the aforementioned work by FSEG. Jim mentioned a system (unplanted) that was tested to BS8414, reporting the fire behaviour that we have also observed in our tests. this one is highly recommended: https://t.co/BeOrFG1yDP
In our lab, we are now working on narrowing the issue and refining the message. The research paper summarizing all the experiments done so far is in the final review stage for Fire Safety Journal, so hopefully that will be a peer-reviewed resource I will be able to share with you soon (it contains all the experiments I've shown on lnkd so far). Also, we are approaching stage 2 of our experimental research, which will focus on identifying potential materials and technical solutions and evaluating their fundamental fire properties in smaller-scale experiments. Based on that we will choose the next materials to go into full scale again.
When we started doing this research, I hoped it will be super exciting research on how alive fuels grow, age, die and burn... Research about the hazards of user negligence and improper water management... but meh. It's plastics and cavities. In one way at least we know this enemy and already have some ideas on how to work with that. Hopefully, we are at least a few steps ahead, compared to how we approached ventilated facades in the past.
Anyway, I like how this space evolves, and appreciate all other researchers working on this important novel topic. We are also building some collaborations, and look forward to the future.

Videos from a very aggressive fire yesterday from a school building (Lambertseter VGS, Oslo, Norway). The fire is in a gym building, luckily independent from rest of the school. Would be very interesting to know the materials used in this.
https://t.co/FZasfi0r9l - FEMTC 2022 hosted by @thunderheadeng starts next week, virtual attendence possible! Many exciting presentations on application of fire and evacuation modelling. Highly recommended :-)
@WojciechITB Amazing piece of work you and your guests have accomplished with this, many interesting topics :-) I have a bit of a backlog on them now, but look forward to catching up in the summer break!
A question to Fire Safety-Twitter: Have you been involved with testing/assesments of wooden lamellows/ribs with surface fire protection coatings (fire retardants/varnish/lacquers) ? More spec. to achieve euroclass surface fire rating B-s1,d0.
