Reflecting on a long, challenging period. After exhausting all routes, I stepped back for wellbeing
New concerns meant revisiting matters but my focus remains on prevention, and supporting my son into adulthood
Grateful for all the kindness shown
Wishing all a peaceful New Year
@OhCheesesChrist I'm aware of two friends who we're subjected to bans based on lies and immediately banned without any clear evidence and no time to appeal before the next game 🤬
MUFC Sanctions: Broken Process
Sanctions against United fans are alarmingly high, based on word-of-mouth/self-gathered data, as the club provides no concrete stats. Recent bans cited include failed collections (Spurs, City), turnstile issues (Fulham), and QR code usage at Old Trafford.
The Club is breaching its own rules. The T&Cs promise a straightforward two-stage appeal process:
- 1st Appeal: 14 days to appeal to a Senior Manager.
- 2nd Appeal: 14 days to appeal to a Panel with at least two independent representatives.
Supporters have been given 7 days or less to appeal—a direct breach of the 14-day rule. If this happens to you, FORMALLY CHALLENGE THE CLUB ON THE DEADLINE! You could challenge it on grounds of fairness and reasonableness under UK consumer contract law.
Presumed Guilty, No Evidence. The current process is flawed:
- No Clarity on Ban Status: Is the ban immediate, or issued upon losing the final appeal? United must clarify whether fans are banned from attending home games or applying for domestic/European games while appealing.
- Poor Evidence Standard: Sanctions are often imposed based on one person's word against another (e.g., denying ticket collection). The club must provide solid evidence (photo, video, data) to demonstrate that the sanction is warranted and to protect the supporter.
My Advice if Sanctioned:
- Gather evidence proving your innocence/attendance.
- Formally demand that the club provide solid, verifiable evidence for the ban.
- Include [email protected] (Independent Supporter Liaison Officer) in all correspondence and seek advice before replying.
I believe that United should publish sanction data:
- how many issued
- upheld
- downgraded
- lifted
For the sake of fairness and transparency.
🗣️Ticket price increases by stealth and the systematic marginalisation of fans
Yesterday the club announced the ticket prices for next season.
The fact the ticket prices were not frozen and the club did not follow the precedent set by other Premier League clubs, is really disappointing. Especially after serving up one of the worst teams in decades.
We have campaigned tirelessly with the FSA and in collaboration with other like minded fan groups to ensure the club know fan sentiment on ticket prices. Without these actions who knows what the club would have done otherwise.
Our thoughts:
👉Disappointing the club didn’t freeze season ticket prices for next season inline with other PL clubs
👉There are some stealth rises for
👉Our seniors facing effectively a 57% increases on next season. Our most loyal generational fans who have supported the club for decades
👉Exec club increased by 20%
👉The increase of 15% in car parking across the board
👉Category pricing for members. We announced long ago that dynamic pricing was coming after we had this confirmed by a source
👉Additional stringent measures being enforced by the club. We are supporting the club we love not applying for a mortgage
👉Attendance guidelines have increase to 16/19. This was only supposed to be implemented with supporting data. To our knowledge this has not been provided by the club
👉The fans are now directly paying for years of Glazer greed and generational damage they have caused to our club and fan base
These are all stealth increases to change the optics of the 5% increase across all Season Ticket Holders. Again, penny wise and pound foolish.
This is the first phase of reducing the amount of ST holders. We have always campaigned the club are trying to marginalise match going fans. Cutting the 50% OAP concession to 25% for those who had it is a total disgrace.
This also paves the way for there never being any new Season Tickets issued now.
Why would they do this if they are increasing non ST prices by more? It is also a stay of execution to put them up to whatever they want to if we ever move to a new stadium.
We also reiterate our views on the Fans Forum and the FAB. This is what we spoke to the club at length about.
The system needs a revision to be more democratic and accountable to fans. This is not an attack on the current members of these forums. However, a lens on the fundamentally flawed process of appointment to these forums is needed.
We will be campaigning for this to change.
We want a custodian of the club that puts fans first, cares about this once great institution. Instead, we have a club that is crumbling beneath our feet and we are expected to foot the bill for 20 years of Glazer decay and damage.
The elephant in the room is, and always been, the Glazer debt. The clubs losses include a £35 million payment to service this.
YOUR DEBT NOT OURS!

@dipsMUFC I believe SJR has the best interests in turning Man United around but it's going to take time. He's admitted some mistakes have been made but they're addressing them, whilst highlighting what a mess Glazer ownership has done to our club
