@boscombehilife@LeeEvansBirding Birded around Aviero on 3 occasions and only had Crested Lark there. Used to get the ferry over to Sao Jacinto for the splendid reserve some 4km north of the ferry stop. Plenty of Crested Lark around the paving stones by the shops and cafes.
@leysbiotutor@SallyAnn_Spence Yponomeuta cagnella caterpillars. The spindle ermine micro moth. They will abseil to the ground, pupate in leaf litter and emerge as adults later this year. The tree will grow new leaves in the summer.

@LeeEvansBirding Flea beetle infestation. Thatโs why farmers have abandoned Oil seed rape. Perhaps rodents move in to feed on the beetle or the SEO has easy access to food by eating the beetles. Be useful to dissect pellets from the field.
