@SharrellAnne2 This lovely thread reminds me of my honeymoon trip on the Orient Express. Flowers we were given we then placed on a grave of our choice at the River Kwai memorial and cemetry. A very moving visit. RIP Alan.
Perfect for the summer holiday season, another page turner from @JohnNicholRAF. No doubt it will a thrilling read as well as factual and historically correct.

@Ralph_Retriever & Mr Badger encourage you to have a go!
@8ntmuch Thanks, I saw a local friend reply @LiztheNorthener and I've just ordered some prints of this one so thought I'd be a bit cheeky and post it up! This was very fortunately some amazing aurora at our UK midlands latitude. There were some overhead that eveing too.
@Robcapper@adamcooperF1@fia Very sadly am I total agreement with you. I'm struggling to enjoy the season to date, haven't listened to any of @TomClarksonF1 F1 Nation podcast and see it all as a bit fake and second rate. I've been a fan since the late 80s, maybe I'm no longer the right demographic?
@port27500 That said, my go to tenon saw is my Grandad’s old one. Quality steel, hand sharpened and super stiff. But I’m with you on the spanners, sockets and rounded over screwdrivers.
Japanese engineers developed a “Sword Tip Visualization System” for the Fencing World Championships, and it makes fencing look absolutely incredible to watch.
Looking forward to this one. John’s books are real page turners. I’ll see what my grandparents went through in Croydon. I did hear some stories, it sounded horrific.
RT for chance to win a signed copy of BLITZ - out in May.
For too long ‘The Blitz’ has been framed as a few desperate months in 1940/41 mainly affecting London. But attacks were far more widespread, far more devastating, & for most of the war.
The BLITZ story is now told afresh:
@scottiebateman I’m from your neck of the woods too and used to see them bimbling around the northern edge of the plain, over Urchfont, Lavington, Devizes etc. Are there any still flying? They were very cool looking. Form follows function etc.
@scottiebateman@MCCCANM Great reply Scott. To KC-10 Driver, what a tweet. Sharing will definitely help process what you’re feeling and going through. In the UK we often say a problem shared is a problem halved. I’m sure you get my gist, keep the messages coming. Best wishes too.
