Is anticoagulation required after successful catheter ablation of AF? The OCEAN trial has been accepted as a late-breaking trial at #AHA2025. Thank you to all the investigators who worked during and after the pandemic to get this trial done.
Congrats to all the participants at the @experienceHRX Innovation Summit! The talks were incredible & highlight how bright the future is! Special thanks to my Co-chair @Drdevignair for her leadership in innovation! Hope to see even more #EPeeps @ HRX26 @PrashSanders@drsuneet
Really honored to have had the opportunity to serve as the Executive Producer of #HRX2025 along with @JonPicciniSr - 3 days devoted to the incredible innovation occurring in #eletrophysiology. Looking forward to Jon and @PrashSanders leading #HRS2026!!! Sept 3-5, 2026!
#HRX2025#PFA: The End of the Beginning.
Great discussion:
- NOT cardiac selective, but “functional preferential” cardiac ablation
- how to titrate PFA in the future? By differences in energy, waveform, number of pulses, etc
- what do we want to know about PFA: micro-embolie, clinical efficacy, lesion depth/width, procedural outcomes, …

What an inspiring start to HRX Live 2025 with our very first Innovation Summit!
I am deeply grateful to my co-chair @JonPicciniSr — it has been an absolute privilege to co-lead this inaugural program with you. My heartfelt thanks as well to @drsuneet , Chair of HRX, for setting the stage for this summit, and to the dedicated @HRSonline staff who made it all possible.
As I reflect on the day, three themes stand out:
•Innovation at the bedside — seeing extraordinary technologies, from leadless pacing to AI and digital health, moving from concept to clinical reality.
•Barriers we face — recognizing challenges of cost, access, and equity, and tackling them head-on so innovation remains meaningful and scalable.
•Collaboration and community — the most powerful driver of change, bringing together clinicians, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, regulators, and patients to reimagine cardiovascular care.
Innovation is not something for the future — it is happening right now. Each of us carries the responsibility to take today’s ideas back to our clinics, labs, classrooms, and companies, and to build the future of cardiovascular care together.
At the heart of it all are our patients — their lives, their families, their stories. They are the reason we innovate, and the reason this community is so extraordinary.
I could not be more excited to see where this journey takes us.
