@johnmarknewman In both retail and marketplaces, the real estate owner sets the rules for preferred product placement, and the manufacturer decides yea or nay. When does a choice become unlawful compulsion?
@WashPostHS As the dad of an All-Met athlete and dedicated reader of WaPo sports for nearly 40 years (sheesh, I'm old) - thank you, to you and your colleagues.
@NoahLFerguson@M_Errigo Thank you for your work, including a wonderful story when my son captained the state-champion Walter Johnson HS swim team. (I'd give a lot to get a frame-able "print" version of that story, but we could never figure out if it ever ran in print.)
@chelsea_janes Thank you, from a fan who grew up with Dave Anderson, Rick Reilly, Tom Verducci, Steve Sabol . . . and then "graduated" to you, Tom Boswell, Dan Steinberg, Jesse Dougherty, and so many great WP sportswriters.
@dougherty_jesse Thanks for your story. Unfortunately, so many DMV swimmers were hurt. Kids going to low and mid D1 and top D3 schools were frozen as coaches were paralyzed by potential D1 transfers. Juniors committed to D1 lost their spots a year later. It was a long, brutal recruiting year.
