@ChristianFWT@Soteriology101 “When I am lifted up from the earth, will draw everyone to Myself.” The Holy Spirit is the means of drawing. “They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.” Why some accept and some reject the truth is the mystery not answered by Scripture.
@TodAshby@BudBrownLE@JCBibleInsights "And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me" John 6:45. True worshipers of the Father were given to the Son. The others were "broken off because of their unbelief." Rom 11:20
@Orville54310141@writeontheedg3 To decree or ordain certain events does not equal decreeing all events. “and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind;”
Jeremiah 19:5
@writeontheedg3@_DHDS Exactly. The square peg of the Christian Trinity cannot be forced into the round hole of Platonic simplicity without collateral damage to Christology and cosmology. https://t.co/IedJ3qSubY
@jdogmac117830@hyde62056@rogerecoff I’m certainly not the judge and can see no man’s heart but I believe most Lutherans emphasize and worship Deus revelatus. Also, if perfect theology is required heaven will be an empty place.
@MasteredJohn@nsraban@bannedby The objector Paul is anticipating is the 1st Century Jew who is a child of Abraham and has been keeping the law. God hardened them in their rebellion, in the same way he hardened Pharoah, to bring about his redemptive plan. It’s His sovereign choice to make salvation by faith.
@CovenantReform2@Soteriology101 Gottachalk’s theology of double predestination was condemned as heretical by the Council of Mainz and the Council of Quierzy in 848 and 849. Do you uphold these councils as well?
A number of hospitals have winter mask mandates
For staff, staff + visitors, on some floors but not others, inpatient but not outpatient, and all sorts of variations
Is this evidence based?
Or, as a wise professor recently told me, "just plain stupid"
@AaronInWriting He took on every aspect of our humanity. "For that which He has not assumed He has not healed." Gregory of Nazianzus in defeat of Apollinarianism.
@EddyEkofo@ryancduff Again, we’ll have to disagree. I think the majority of scripture, including this passage, supports my view. The Romans verse discusses in grafting of the Gentiles. Same as 2 Thess 2:13-14. Seems clear to me in 14 that He called you, Gentiles, through our, Jewish, gospel.
