I am so proud of everyone who worked so hard to make this happen! I'm especially thankful to @MayorDaniella and most of the Miami-Dade Commissioners, who truly listened to our concerns and did the right thing! You have restored my faith in government!
Florida's pine rockland ecosystem is chock full of rare, imperiled species.
But development and urbanization have slowly chipped away at the rocklands.
Now, developers plan to build a water park next to one of the most intact remaining plots.

Thanks to the CLEO Institute for allowing me to tell my side of the story on the Miami Wilds debacle on their "House on Fire" podcast. This is the most important fight that I have been in in my 43+ year career. I hope that you can listen and share.
Please join me as we try to make history by trying to stop the construction of a water park on critical habitat at Zoo Miami. This project not only threatens the lives of endangered wildlife, it threatens the quality of life for all of us. Help us stop it! #LetThemThrive
