As a former 1811 who personally processed and delivered hundreds of prisoners into this exact facility, I am raising a precise legal and operational concern regarding the Tate brothers.

They are currently on a USMS hold pending extradition approval/denial in proceedings.

They have not been convicted of any crime in the United States and, most importantly, are U.S. citizens, yet their status is that of extradition detainees.

Over more than three years of proceedings in Romania, the brothers appeared at every required court hearing and judicial proceeding — more than 40 in total — without missing a single one.

They even returned to Romania when summoned after travel restrictions were eased.

That is a clear and documented record of compliance.

Under Wright v. Henkel, 190 U.S. 40 (1903), bail in international extradition cases may be granted upon a showing of special circumstances. A consistent multi-year history of appearing for every required hearing constitutes precisely the type of special circumstance the Court contemplated. I formally request that the court give full and fair consideration to bond.

Further, under Bell v. Wolfish, 441 U.S. 520 (1979), individuals detained pending judicial proceedings cannot be subjected to conditions that amount to punishment. Restrictions must be reasonably related to a legitimate governmental objective. Arbitrary or unnecessarily harsh treatment fails that standard.

As U.S. citizens who have not been charged with any crime in the United States, the Tate brothers should not be subjected to detention-like restrictions based solely on allegations made by a foreign government.

At a minimum, they should be released under reasonable supervision, with appropriate reporting requirements and assurances they will appear for all required U.S. proceedings, meetings, or hearings.

A guide for young groypers interested in being a lawyer:

Lawyers will be vital to the America First movement, we will need lawyers at every level. As a young groyper you are at the heart of the movement and if law is your passion you can prove very useful.

The process of applying and actually getting into law school is quite complicated, and as someone who lived through it I thought I would share my experiences.

First undergrad. Your goal should be to get the highest grades possible, full stop. Your actual degree and where it’s from doesn’t technically matter, but you should still choose to major in something useful at a decent school, we will circle back to this. During undergrad your single mission should be to get as high of grades as possible, don’t worry about the LSAT right now, don’t worry about legal internships, focus 100% on your grades. During this time nail down a couple professors you like to write you letters of recommendation.

After undergrad. You’re going to want to work for at least 1-2 years before applying, in recent application cycles schools are avoiding KJDs (kindergarten to Juris Doctor, meaning no gap years). This is where your undergrad degree will prove useful. Your degree in finance, engineering, etc will get you a job for a couple years. During this phase and the end of your senior year you will begin studying for the LSAT.

The LSAT. This test, along with your undergraduate grades are about 80% of your application, 10% is your work experience and the remaining 10% is all letters of recommendation, essays, and supplemental materials. This test is very difficult and will be different from every test you’ve taken thus far. I recommend self studying using a platform like 7Sage, LSATDemon, etc first. If you have extra money and need more help then hire a tutor. Take this test a few times (5 is the maximum allowed) only the highest score is counted for your application. A goal score for top schools Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc is a 175+ not everyone can get this high of a score, and that is okay, we will need lawyers on every level in every state. Aim for a 160+ minimum to be able to go to a good school with a good scholarship.

The application process. Aim to finish the LSAT by October of the cycle you want to apply in. As August/September rolls around you want to begin your personal statement and get the letters of recommendation locked in. Pick a range of schools that you can easily get into (safeties) a range that are goal schools (targets) and a range of schools that are long shots (reaches). Every school releases a 509 statement every year that shows their ranges of LSAT scores and GPAs for admitted students on a 25, 50, 75 percentile basis. Aim to get into the best school you can for the cheapest price, a majority of law students get scholarships, don’t be the kid paying full price for a school unless you can 100% afford it, and with the recent loan changes it’s much tighter than before.

This process is purposely made to be confusing and costly. Being a lawyer is vital for every political movement and ours is no different, we need smart people in every level. Good luck, and feel free to DM me if you have any questions.
