Pakistan may soon be transitioning toward Presidential system, introducing direct elections for President instead of the current parliamentary model.

Under such a system, the President could derive his mandate directly from the people through a nationwide vote, rather than being elected by Parliament and the provincial assemblies.

This would represent a major structural shift in the Pakistan’s political system, potentially changing the balance of power between the President, Prime Minister, Parliament and provincial governments.

The situation in Rawalakot has shifted as armed elements linked to Indian-sponsored Fitna al Khawarij have taken over, using automatic weapons including American M4 rifles against law enforcement. Personnel have embraced martyrdom and several are injured while maintaining state writ.

Peaceful citizens, women, and children are urged to distance themselves from these armed groups immediately.
