As a Palestinian with a platform, this is my duty to share. Macklemore was just removed from Ed Sheeran's tour for saying Free Palestine on stage.

I'm Palestinian. For the past 3 years, I've used my platforms to show you what's happening to my people. The killings, the starvation, the children pulled from rubble. Millions of you have watched it here with your own eyes.

So when one of the biggest artists in America loses stages and money for simply calling out a genocide, for simply being a human, I will not stay quiet.

He wasn't punished for hate. He was punished for two words. And if those two words are more offensive to the industry than everything my people have endured, that tells you everything.

Macklemore walked away from stadiums and money because he knows none of it means anything if you have to stay silent about a genocide to keep it. That's not a loss. A stage you can only stand on by abandoning your morals was never worth standing on.

And just to clarify, because people love to twist it: Free Palestine is a call for basic human rights. The right to live, to eat, to sleep without bombs falling. Freedom, equal rights and dignity for every single person from the river to the sea. Ending the occupation. Justice for the families kicked out of their homes in 1948 who still hold the keys. This was never about hate. It's about humanity, the bare minimum every human on this earth deserves.
