@amor_fatti I want you
the way the
flowers feel
the rain.
I want you
the way
the earth
needs the
sun. I want
you the way
the air feels
my breath as
we inhale
& exhale love
with the
infinite
exchange
of a lifetime.
I want you
intimately
deeply &
forever.
@lathamht Latham, I finally had the chance to properly check this out and Iโm so glad I did. I could almost hear the 120 knot wind in the cockpit. The importance of finding what ignites you and leaning into that was a visceral takeaway. Thanks for sharing this.
@lathamht Knowing about these different ways I think is the way to become the deepest possible learner you can be. I imagine they all overlap in some sense. Also, so cool to hear about your learning to fly. That has always been a goal of mine.
@lathamht Itโs probably easiest to scale (write books for) and test propositional kinds of knowing. To honor other types of knowing would involve the whole body through mindfulness. I.e., how does this knowledge relate to my character?
By simply taking the time to hear sound in its full richness,
one opens the door to a much wider perspective of music making which embraces the entire potential of sound,
and not just the surface level of fundamental tones,
the dots we see on the page.
These are some of the notes I took on the first essay in The Problems of Philosophy by Bertrand Russell.
I plan on sharing more in a newsletter at some point in the near future.

But it can't be denied that each of our senses provide us with an unfathomably tiny sliver of reality, by design, and that truth must be much larger than what any one of us can behold.
