@DavidTIrving @reformedtexan @Petty_France Many have attributed a similar quote to M’Cheyne: “What a man is on his knees before God, that he is—and nothing more.”

The secondary sources don't provide a citation to an original work. I haven't found anything in M'Cheyne's work where he gives the quote.
