@ENPancotti there's no subsidized mezz financing for hotels as far as I know but real hotel prices declined 5% from 2000-2019 despite massive tourism demand growth in that (pre-COVID) period

@KelseyTuoc This was originally a Supreme Court thing but with the rise of the celebrity SCOTUS litigator plus internet distribution of oral arguments it’s making its way into other courts, which are often much less genteel and close knit than SCOTUS (so it OFTEN reads as passive aggressive)

@danepps This is super depressing but also says as much about the state of (“top 50”) legal scholarship as it does the technology frontier. Maybe not crazy to be optimistic that once you can just automate the slop the returns to genuine human-derived insight will be greater?
