@ClintonDesveaux This is a lose-lose situation. You have to sail through 2 American locks in the St Lawrence (Eisenhower and Snell locks). Also, the Americans own the Soo locks in the St Mary's river, where all our grain from Thunder Bay to Quebec transits via the lakes as well as iron ore.

@jasminlaine I can relate with the higher taxes. It's makes taking up overtime shifts not worth it. A friend of mine used to be a Toronto Paramedic. Tough job. Long hours. If he ever did extra hours it ended up not being worth it. So much effort to end up not getting to keep what you earn.

@BlendrNews You should also look into how Canadian seafarers (navigation officers and eng officers) are being overlooked in favour of hiring foreign sailors (especially Ukrainians), and other nationalities. A plethora of reciprocal agreements were signed to recognize foreign sailor....
