I have to triple-check them most of the time. So many different ways to cite and so many mistakes are made just because of a comma or a capital letter that is incorrect. #lesson8 https://t.co/A1fiGiY02y
I always like to double check how I write my references - how I source everything because it differs whether you're citing a journal, dictionary, article, etc. #Lesson8
Having good, solid references is one of the most important parts of writing a paper. Knowing which ones to use as arguments and how to cite them is extremely important no matter what subject it may be #lesson8
I really enjoyed the latest journal entry on deconstruction and pedagogy. It was very eye opening to the importance of taking the time to break things down and understand things for ourselves rather than being manipulated.
@educ307marty You said it best @educ307marty! I am going to make a more conscious effort to put my energy into my personal conversations and interactions instead of the comments on my Instagram photos or the 200 snapchats I send a day.
I have over 1500 Facebook friends and 1500 followers on Insta. I wonder how many of them I would have a conversation with if I passed them in the street. It happens so often that you like someone's pictures but won't say 2 words to them when you see them. Something to think about
I definitely agree with this. Technology doesn't work for everyone, it can be very distracting for some or even lead them to deviant behaviours. #lesson7 https://t.co/AdGO2MDZZQ
@JBraseliten @MPuistonen Teachers do learn about how each child learns differently and using different materials and medias is very beneficial. That further explains why tablets will work for some students, but certainly not all. #lesson7
@Educ307MariaB @MassCarozzaEDUC I've seen far too many people do this. Some of the people I know actually only post pictures during "peak hours" to maximize their amount of likes. I will never be able to understand this
Am I the only person who doesn't cover my webcam? I never felt the need to do it and never felt like someone was watching me despite what everyone says.
The benefits of implementing social media into education have to do with how the teachers decide to use the technology. They need to make sure they're guiding the technology, and the technology is not guiding them. #lesson7
I also believe that technology in the classroom can benefit so many students and lead to so many great opportunities. But it's also important to acknowledge that not every student can afford a 2500$ Macbook or an iPad to bring to school.
When I was in high school, the "cool thing" to have in grade 7 and 8 was a flip phone. Now, I see young high school students with iPhone X's. Makes you wonder how the times have changed
This happens to me all the time. Or something even my mother sent me in a link via iMessage, and all of a sudden it's on my Facebook or instagram page. https://t.co/QSXzvy2JtR
I find myself going into such a rabbit hole when I am on any social media website or on youtube. I'll go look up one thing and end up on a completely unrelated topic or post from someone's grandmother's dog's doctor's instagram page #lesson6
My phone is always on "do not disturb" but I find myself checking it more frequently than if it would just vibrate or ring when I get a notification. It's so counter productive
@JG_EDUC307 Love this idea! I do it with my friends sometimes. Kinda sad that it has to come to this but it's an easy way to get free drinks if you have more will power than them haha!
