@GabyFord2@SoRSueJohnson@SuraiyaHassan1 You should be really proud of the difference you have made. Things have changed for AHP support workers due to the work you have done. Such a shame the changes that are underway nationally.
Attended the AHP professional body & trade union support worker meeting today chaired by @SoRSueJohnson Wow. So much great work being done by every org' to assist development of support staff; not to mention the fab work nationally led by @GabyFord2@SuraiyaHassan1 & colleagues
Was great to be visited by our early supported discharge team @SalisburyNHS this week and hear about their ideas for improving the offer they give to our patients and their careers as well as our staff. ESD reduces unnecessary time in hospital - a big risk to long term health
@HelenBevan We have a monthly CoP for AHP SWs and it’s both a safe place fir SWs to raise concerns but most importantly a fantastic way to network, share learning and ideas and it has been amazing the people you meet and build a rapport with. CoPs should be encouraged 💪👏
@PruComben@AgaWaligora Totally agree Pru. There is so much talent and skills missed within the unregistered members of staff. Unregistered members must be recognised and appreciated for their hard work 💪
@rgriffinskill@DawnGrant63@KingsCollegeLon Definitely a great idea. Looking at alternative career pathways other than the Uni route to become registered is so important.
